NOTICE OF RACE WHAKATU 18

The Whakatu Regatta is Nelson Yacht Club’s annual club regatta. Nelson Sailors – plan your summer holidays around the 13th & 14th January!! (Entry Form Below)

Are you visiting the Nelson region in January? Why not bring your boat and get a couple of days racing on the beautiful waters of Tasman Bay.

It is a great opportunity for sailors from nearby regions to see what sailing in Nelson is all about. Of course, we’ll do our best to arrange champagne sea-breeze conditions!!

The deadline for entries is Midday on Friday 12th January. However, please enter as EARLY as you can, so that we can arrange sufficient support boat crews, food and drink. Late entries will be accepted at the organising authority’s discretion until 09:00 on Saturday 13th January, subject to payment of the entry fee PLUS an additional $25 Late Entry Fee.

Cost is $40 for singlehanders and $60 for doublehanders.

Classes throughout New Zealand are invited to apply to hold their National Championships or South Island Championships in conjunction with the Whakatu Regatta in the years to come.

Payment Information

Entry fees are: Single Handed $40. Double Handed $60 Late entries, accompanied by an additional late entry fee of $25 may be accepted at the Race Committee’s discretion.
