We use a platform called Team App for communication and notifications around club racing activities, rosters for race officer and patrol boat duties, and it is also useful for special events.

How do I get on TeamApp?

It functions best, used on a mobile device. In your App Store / Play Store or equivalent, search “Team App”. You should see something that is branded like this:

Download the app and create a profile. Make sure that you add your phone number and email address.

Once you have a profile, you can search for your ‘team’. Search for “Nelson Yacht Club”, and you should recognise the logo!

When you sign up for the Nelson Yacht Club ‘team’ you can select different user groups – make sure you pick the appropriate ones – Eg. Sailor, Volunteer, Parent etc… you can pick more than one.

The most used functions are:

  • Events Calendar, with Duty Roster
  • News & Results
  • Chat – a great way to communicate with other members
