Welcome to The Aurora Lounge

A beautifully refurbished community venue available for hire on the waterfront in Nelson.

Located on the second floor, the space offers panoramic views across the harbour — from Tahunanui Beach to the Boulder Bank Lighthouse.

The 250m² function room is well-equipped and versatile, making it ideal for weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings.

With Nourish Catering based on-site, events can be fully tailored to suit a wide range of occasions.

Whether it be event styling and equipment supply, audio-visual equipment, photography, or a licenced bar service, there are local experts who know the venue well and their experience will add great value.

You can either coordinate everything yourself or engage Nourish Catering for more of a ‘walk in, walk out’ tailored event package.

Nourish Catering, led by Chanté Whitehouse, is based on-site at the Aurora Lounge.

Known for fresh, seasonal and beautifully presented food, Nourish can tailor menus to suit a wide range of events — from weddings and corporate functions to more relaxed gatherings.

Options range from plated meals and grazing tables through to canapés and shared-style dining, with a strong focus on quality, flavour, and presentation.
