Host your event in the Aurora Lounge at Nelson Yacht Club and enjoy stunning views across Nelson Harbour and Tasman Bay from this prime waterfront location. Located on the second floor, with access by both internal and external stairways and a lift, the lounge includes a bar area with refrigeration, glassware dishwasher and sink.

Meetings, Conference and Function Venue Hire

Available to hire for groups of up to 185, the large 14m by 15m lounge is carpeted and heated (for winter) and features a dance floor, with tables and chairs to seat 100.

On-site Catering by Nourish!

We’re stoked to have partnered with the amazing team from Nourish Catering to provide on-site catering services, with their wholesome nourishing style from the 1st October 2021.

Choose from budget friendly menu plans, or challenge Chante and the team to surprise and delight you with something extraordinary!

As the Aurora Lounge is hired as a bare venue with no staff provided by NYC, it is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all Covid-19 requirements are met. More details:

Covid-19 Protection Framework & Lounge Hires

Hire rates include 2x rubbish bins, cleaning, and GST. Please contact us for pricing.

The lounge can also be hire for non-catered or self-catered events, but there will be no access to the kitchen area.

We will be working on a new dedicated website for the Aurora Lounge, as well as taking a look at our pricing plans etc… so any feedback is welcome!
