Welcome to The Aurora Lounge

An outstanding community venue for hire on the waterfront in Nelson, New Zealand.

The venue, on the second floor, offers unrivalled views of the Nelson harbour, from Tahunanui beach in the south to the iconic Boulder Bank lighthouse to the north.

Recently refurbished, the 250m2² function room is well equipped and provides an inspiring setting for weddings, corporate functions, and all types of community events. A partnership with excellent on-site caterer Nourish Catering completes the package and allows for fully tailored events.

We can connect you with key partners to ensure a smooth and successful delivery of your event.

Whether it be event styling and equipment supply, audio-visual equipment, photography, or a licenced bar service, there are local experts who know the venue well and their experience will add great value.

You can either coordinate everything yourself or engage Nourish Catering for more of a ‘walk in, walk out’ tailored event package.

We are SO fortunate to have Chanté Whitehouse and the team from Nourish Catering based in the Aurora Lounge. Their combination of fun, colourful, inspiring and above all… deeeelicious creations will be a highlight of your event.

Nourish can tailor menus to suit your budget. Everything is possible from full wedding breakfasts and corporate events as plated dinners, through to canapés and standing dinners. Their spectacular grazing tables are a speciality.
